Recording the Audiobook!

I visited The Jam Lab to begin recording the audiobook version of I Just Want This Done. Very cool experience! I met Colin Peterik, owner of The Jam Lab, an audio engineer and musician himself. (You may be familiar with the last name - his father is Survivor’s Jim Peterik - Remember Eye of the Tiger?) Anyway, Colin has built a very cool and extensive recording studio in the west suburbs of Chicago - perfect for any recording session (and special events too, the place is huge)! We were able to record for about 3 1/2 hours before I was exhausted. Turns out it’s a lot of work to read aloud for that long, and maintain fidelity to the original book. Colin was amazing and really helped me with the session. It should take two more sessions to record the book - there is a ton of material here!
